Pinterest introduced a new customization option Thursday, the following tab, which enables users to create a curated feed of Pins from people and boards they follow in the order in which those Pins were saved.

This gives Pinterest users two options: the ability to browse personalized recommendations curated by Pinterest’s algorithms in their home feeds, and the ability to view the latest Pins from people and boards they follow in the new following tab.

The following tab began rolling out on iOS, Android and pinterest.com Thursday, and all users should have it over the next few weeks.

The “+” button at the top of the tab enables users to control which people and boards are included and unfollow content that is no longer relevant to them.

On the marketing side, Pinterest wrote, “The following tab also offers creators (like influencers, publishers and brands) an even easier way to connect with people who engage with their content on Pinterest. Not only does the new tab make followers a more prominent part of the discovery process, it allows creators to grow their audience.”
