Pinterest Debuts AR Try On Feature Powered by Lens for Lipstick Shopping

More categories will be added

Pinterest is bringing augmented reality to lipstick shopping with Tuesday’s debut of Try On, powered by its Lens visual search tool.

Try On rolled out in the U.S. Tuesday on iOS and Android, and Pinterest said lipstick will be joined by more categories, adding that brands can learn more about integration here.

Pinners can open the application’s camera in search and click on Try On to find different shades of lipstick from brands including bareMinerals, Estée Lauder, Neutrogena, Sephora and L’Oreal brands NYX Professional Makeup, Urban Decay and YSL Beauté.

Browsing More Like This will bring up select Pins with related looks, and Try On can also be used when Pinners see someone wearing a shade they like in a Pin.
