Philadelphia Newspaper Drivers Reject New Union Deal, Deadline Nears

The sale of the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Philadelphia Daily News is in jeopardy, as two of the 14 unions that need to accept a new labor deal have rejected the current proposal. All 14 union entities must agree to a deal by Tuesday, or the new owner, Philadelphia Media Network has the right to step away from the sale.

On Sunday, the union representing the drivers that deliver the papers rejected the deal by a 182 to 3 vote.
