PeopleTV Will Kick Off Twitter Livestreaming Pact With People Now Nov. 20

Advertisers will have opportunities to sponsor or promote across both PeopleTV and Twitter

Time Inc.’s PeopleTV announced that it will begin livestreaming programming on Twitter Nov. 20.

The ad-supported over-the-top network’s pact with the social network will kick off with live daily show People Now, and livestreaming fare will “eventually” include breaking news, celebrity interviews and live events and specials.

The livestreams will be available globally via @PeopleTV, accompanied by Twitter timelines containing real-time conversation, and Time Inc. said advertisers will have opportunities to sponsor or promote across both PeopleTV and Twitter.

Twitter chief operating officer Anthony Noto said in a release detailing the livestreaming pact, “Entertainment is one of the most-talked-about topics on our platform as pop-culture fans turn to Twitter every day to see what’s happening.
