Pelosi on Buchwald

Art Buchwald was a man of great optimism and good humor. His title as the ‘wit of Washington’ was well-earned; he always made for fascinating company. But he must also be remembered for his gigantic heart and kind spirit. He formed relationships with my children, all of whom adored him. I am proud to have called him friend for several decades.

What a joy it was for the many who loved him to spend time with him over the last year.
