PEJ: Christmas Day Terror Attempt Tops Twitter, Newspapers, Blogs
The attempted explosion of Northwest Airlines Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit Christmas Day topped the list of news-related Twitter links from Dec. 28-Jan. 3, at 23%, according to Pew Research Center’s Project for Excellence in Journalism’s New Media Index.
According to PEJ, many of the tweets involved a report on Wired.com about two bloggers who were visited at their homes by Transportation Security Administration agents after publishing a new TSA directive that revised screening procedures and put new restrictions on passengers.
