Paper Really Likes Book Written by Paper Editor
The Table of Contents of Paper‘s latest issue touts a “new book by Kim Hastreiter” on page 48. Hastreiter is, of course, the magazine’s editor and publisher, but there’s nary a mention of that in the TOC.
But how about in the article itself (on page 46, not 48). Nope, although review does call her book, Geoffrey Beene: An American Fashion Rebel, an “intimately replete record of the designer.”
We always thought only The New York Times gave favorable reviews to its own.
