Panasonic has a new Android-based tablet eReader called “Raboo” in the works that is scheduled to launch in Japan in August.
The Raboo has a 7-inch LCD screen that runs on Android 2.2 OS. It does not have access to the Android Market, but it comes with 16 apps pre-installed.
TechCrunch has more: “Raboo is short for Rakuten Books (Rakuten, Japan’s country’s biggest e-commerce company, will offer a total of 10,000 e-books for download from the get-go).
