OverDrive App Has 16M Downloads in 2012
OverDrive, a company that powers eBook distribution for schools and libraries, reported today that its number of registered user sessions was up 93 percent, in 2012 as compared to 2011. According to a new report from OverDrive, the company had 192 million registered visitor sessions last year, which was a huge spike from the prior year. According to the report, OverDrive Media Console’s app had 16 million downloads in 2012 and mobile visits now represent 47 percent of all visits.
