Outside‘s ‘Outside TV’ to Debut on May 31

outsidetv04262010.jpgOutside TV — a collaboration between Outside, the magazine, and RSN Resort TV — is set to launch on May 31. The channel, which will air shows such as “Outside Today,” “The Outside Film Festival,” “The Outside Buzz,” “Untracked,” “Ride Guide,” and “Primal Quest” (Primal Quest!), will appear on televisions in 110 resorts around the country.

The TV network has also rustled up some new talent to back the venture, says the Outside TV press announcement:

Outside Television has tapped television-industry veteran Rob Faris as its new Senior Vice President of Programming and Production; media-sales expert Carmine Parisi as its new Senior Vice President of Media Sales; and cable-industry distribution consultant Catherine Rasenberger.

NEW YORK, NY (April 26, 2010) ­ Outside Television, a new active-lifestyle network debuts Monday, May 31st in 110 premiere resort destinations across the United States.

Outside Television has tapped television-industry veteran Rob Faris as its new Senior Vice President of Programming and Production; media-sales expert Carmine Parisi as its new Senior Vice President of Media Sales; and cable-industry distribution consultant Catherine Rasenberger.

Faris, Parisi, and Rasenberger will head up the network’s new-programming, collaborative sales, and expanded-distribution initiatives.

Outside Television’s new program lineup will include Outside Today, The Outside Film Festival, The Outside Buzz, Untracked, Ride Guide, and Primal Quest, anchoring the network¹s lineup with dynamic, compelling, and global adventures that will feature some of the world’s best hosts, producers, and cinematographers.

Outside Television’s programming is designed to enhance the viewers’ active lifestyles by serving up unforgettable personalities, one-of-a-kind adventures, memorable travels, and cutting-edge gear.

To celebrate the launch of Outside Television, national advertisers and key network and Outside magazine executives will gather at an exclusive April 29th event in New York City.

Outside Television plans to expand beyond its current resort markets by adding mountain, beach, and golf destinations to the affiliate lineup, including Jackson Hole, Moab, Hilton Head, Lake Placid, Palm Springs, Sante Fe/Taos, Hunter Mountain, and Monterey.
