Mark Moore, the former editor of Metro U.S. who was axed in late September, says newspaper’s should go tabloid, free and be devoid of editorials. Via E&P:

A few emergency ideas from the former Metro U.S. editor: Go tab, go free, go short. Stop endorsing candidates. Come to think of it, drop all editorials. Think young, think local. Sign up readers as contributors. And that’s just a start.
