Oprah Gets Fashionable

What is it with today and job announcements? Isn’t the economy supposed to be tanking? Why is everyone (except us) getting hired or promoted? Whatevs.

Another one for you: Brooke Kosofsky Glassberg gets upped to fashion feature editor at O, The Oprah Magazine. She’s been with the magazine since November, 2005 when she came on board as an assistant editor and was most recently associate editor.

In her new gig, Glassberg will oversee the front-of-book and the fashion coverage as well as write for the fashion section.

Brooke Kosofsky Glassberg has been appointed Fashion Feature Editor for O, The Oprah Magazine, one of today’s leading women’s lifestyle magazines reaching over 16 million readers each month. She had been associate editor since February 2007 and came to O as assistant editor in November 2005. Glassberg assumed her post on September 26.

Immediately prior to joining O, Glassberg was an editorial assistant and Vitals Man and Vitals Woman. She has written for Glamour, Jane, New York Magazine, Travel+Leisure, Budget Travel, and YM.

In her new role, Glassberg will assign and edit all the FOB and well fashion pages. She will continue writing for the fashion section (Editors’ Choice, Great Buys Under $100, Love That!). Glassberg graduated summa cum laude from NYU in 2004 with dual majors in Print Journalism and Gender studies.
