Oops: Even Without Patricia Lancaster, Accidents Somehow Still Happen in NY

In an awkward, embarrassing turn of events, just days after our post about New York officials running around making sure things were running smoothly and by the book after former Building Commissioner for the city, Patricia Lancaster, was pushed out the door and replaced by Acting Commissioner, Robert D. LiMandri, a major accident just happened at the Goldman Sachs building renovation spot, with a large, very heavy piece of steel fell 18 floors and landed closely to a park where children were playing. So, unlike what the city’s PR spin might be, that now things are safer and better run in a post-Lancaster world, things just aren’t ever that simple now, are they?
