One Snapchatter’s Virtual Jack in the Box Burger May Become an Actual Burger

A special lens enables users to customize their own sandwiches for a contest

Fast-food chain Jack in the Box is serving up augmented reality burgers through Aug. 18 thanks to its partnership with Snapchat.

Snapchat users can unlock a special Jack in the Box lens that enables them to customize their virtual burgers with a variety of options, such as toppings including tacos, curly fries and onion rings.

Once the burgers are created and named, clicking on the more button within the lens starts the contest submission process, which is being powered by Jebbit.

A winner will be chosen, and his or her burger creation will be featured on the Jack in the Box menu.
