Oh Snap: Hyperlocal Trade Group Won't Include Patch
At last week’s Block by Block conference, aimed at publishers of local news sites, twenty-odd hyperlocal publishers formed the Independent Local Online News Publishers Trade Group (the unofficial name, which is good, because ILONPTG is a mouthful).
The newly-formed trade group’s leader, Mike Fourcher of Center Square Journal in Chicago, told Street Fight that it will unite hyperlocal publishers “around common business interests and offer services that small publishers may not have access to on their own, such as health insurance.”
