Obama Mentions Rupert Murdoch in Immigration Speech

Yesterday President Obama gave a speech in El Paso, Texas on immigration reform. He made the obligatory “everything is bigger in Texas” joke – which everyone laughed at because he’s the President, so he’s funny all the time – but then he did something odd: He gave some love to Rupert Murdoch. As evidence that everyone wants a better immigration policy, Obama explained:

I mean, one CEO had this to say about reform: ‘American ingenuity is a product of the openness and diversity of this society.
