NYC's 'City Limits' Debuts News App
Nonprofit New York City-based investigative news agency City Limits released a revamped app, delivering borough-by-borough news via smartphones and tablets.
City Limits, a progressive, community and policy-minded outlet, made the app available on iOS and Android. It includes news from around the city, along with local job and event listings and an interactive weather map.
The organization said it believed the app’s launch was well-timed as the city transitions from one mayor to the next.
“With the reduction in staffing newsrooms in big media, investigative journalism is hard to find these days,” Lori Schwab, managing director of City Limits, told AppNewser by email.
