NY Times Names Meredith Kopit Levien CRO

A big step up.

The New York Times Company has promoted Meredith Kopit Levien from executive VP of advertising to chief revenue officer. Levien will oversee the Times’ consumer business while continuing the duties of her previous role.

Before joining the Times in 2013, Levien served as Forbes Media’s CRO. She was with Forbes for three years. Prior to Forbes, Levien worked at The Atlantic.

“Meredith is a dynamic leader who in less than two years at the Times has transformed our advertising group and presided over great success in our sales efforts,” said Times CEO Mark Thompson, in a statement.
