NY Times Launches Spanish-Language Site

It's led by a team in Mexico City.

Screen Shot 2016-02-08 at 9.01.21 AMThe New York Times has launched a Spanish-language news site, hosted at NYTimes.com/es. The mobile-centric site will feature some curated and translated Times content along with original reporting from a team based in Mexico City.

Times staffers working in Mexico include Alberto Arce, Veronica Calderon, Paulina Chavira, Paula Duran, Albinson Linares and Dulce Ramos. NYTimes.com/es is edited by Elias Lopez.

“We are thrilled to offer a robust selection of the best New York Times journalism to readers in Spanish,” said Times assistant editor for international Joseph Kahn, in a statement.
