NPR 'Intern Edition' Premieres, Injured Intern Makes Cameo Via Speakerphone
When NPR’s “Intern Edition” first premiered Wednesday, Annie Ropeik was there – she wouldn’t miss it. She’s the intern who was recently stabbed in a disturbing attack in Chinatown on her way to work. She’s also the executive producer of ‘Intern Edition.’
“She introduced it live yesterday via the wonders of speakerphone (which was piped through the room’s speakers so everyone could hear),” said NPR Spokesman Emerson Brown. “Big round of applause and cheers when she said hello.”
