Not-Quite-The Guardian iPad App Today's News Debuts

Full text from all of the content of The Guardian is now available via an iPad app, which is available free-of-charge and which contains advertising. But The Guardian doesn’t offer an iPad app.

Today’s News went live on the iTunes store earlier this week, paidContent:UK reported, and the app — inspired by independent designer Phil Gyford and created by Gameplan founder Andy Croll — uses the newspaper’s open-platform application-program interface to repurpose its content.

The Guardian is not yet selling ads for its open-platform content, according to paidContent:UK, yet Today’s News contains ads.
