Nook Snaps is Barnes & Noble's Answer to Kindle Singles
Barnes & Noble’s Nook Media has debuted a new format for short content on the Nook called Nook Snaps.
Like the Kindle Single from Amazon, Nook Snaps are short pieces of fiction and non-fiction that are at least 5,000 words — longer than magazine articles but shorter than eBooks. These titles are priced less than an eBook. Nook will release a few of these selections a month for $1.99 each. This month the titles include: How to be a Playgirl by Jessanne Collins; High-Status Characters by Brian Raftery and Willing to be Lucky by Mickey Rapkin, among others.
