Nook NY Times Subscribers Gain Free Access To Website

Barnes & Noble customers that subscribe to The New York Times through the Nook Newsstand now have free access to website as part of their subscription. Nook subscribers will receive a notification with information on how to login online. Amazon announced the same feature for Kindle NY Times subscribers yesterday.

Jonathan Shar, Vice President and General Manager of digital newsstand at Barnes & Noble stated: “We are pleased to offer our Nook customers even more access to great content anytime from The New York Times – one of our bestselling Nook Newspapers. We’ve had positive customer response about providing access to Nook New York Times subscribers who already enjoy reading their daily digital edition on their award-winning Nook devices.”

The New York Times began limiting access to its website to readers without a paid subscription back in March.
