Greenpeace Asks Nike and Adidas to 'Detox'

Greenpeace has filmed its own version of a Nike commercial to persuade it (and Adidas) to take steps to disassociate their brands with textile companies in China that are releasing toxic chemicals in the water.

The “Detox” campaign is challenging these sporting goods companies and other clothing brands to enact policies that will include non-hazardous chemicals in the manufacturing process and make the data about their efforts more transparent. The campaign website includes pictures of the organization’s findings and the actions some are taking.
