Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of Jan. 30: Super Bowl LI Dominates

The Big Game totaled 109.78 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter, while the next-highest total was 1.134 million

As expected, Super Bowl LI on Fox dominated the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of Jan. 31, tallying 109.78 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter while only one other sporting event, television series or TV special even cracked the 1 million mark—the NFL Honors on Fox, at 1.134 million.

The NFL Honors special was followed on the TV series and specials chart by NBC’s Saturday Night Live (640,000) and Puppy Bowl XIII on Animal Planet (561,000).

Meanwhile, the National Basketball Association grabbed six of the 10 spots on the sports events chart, led by the Los Angeles Clippers at the Boston Celtics (No. 2, ABC, 344,000 total interactions) and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the New York Knicks (No. 3, ABC, 321,000).
