Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of July 24: UFC Brawls Its Way to the Top

HBO's Game of Thrones was finally dethroned

Game of Thrones was finally dethroned in the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of July 24.

Pay-per-view event UFC 214—highlighted by Jon Jones’ victory over Daniel Cormier—drew the most interactions on Facebook and Twitter for the week, at 1.497 million.

UFC 214 was followed on the list of sports events by the U.S. victory over Jamaica in the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, on Fox Sports 1, Univision and Univision Deportes, at 794,000 total interactions across the two social networks; and another soccer match, FC Barcelona’s International Champions Cup 2017 victory over Real Madrid, on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN2, at 751,000.

HBO’s hit drama (which also aired on HBO Latino) still topped the list of television series and specials, with 1.139 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter.

Game of Thrones was followed by Rick and Morty on Adult Swim, at 346,000, and VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood at 288,000.
