Nielsen Social Content Ratings, Week of June 12: NBA Finals Finale Dominates

World Wrestling Entertainment offerings pinned two of the top three spots on the TV series and specials list

The fifth and deciding game of the 2017 National Basketball Association Finals completely dominated the Nielsen Social Content Ratings for the week of June 12.

The Golden State Warriors’ title-clinching win over the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers on ABC and ESPN Deportes drove 23.083 million interactions across Facebook and Twitter, while no other sports event, TV series or special even topped 1 million.

The swan song of the NBA season was distantly followed by Fox’s and Fox Deportes’ coverage of the final round of the U.S. Open golf tournament, with 575,000 total interactions across the two social networks; and the 2-2 draw between Portugal and Mexico in soccer’s 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup tournament, on Fox Sports 1 and Telemundo, with 432,000 interactions.

World Wrestling Entertainment offerings pinned two of the top three spots on the TV series and specials list, with WWE Money in the Bank on pay-per-view at No. 1, totaling 525,000 interactions across Facebook and Twitter, and USA Network’s WWE Monday Night Raw in third place with 331,000.

America’s Got Talent on NBC claimed second place, with 349,000 total interactions across the two social networks.
