Did you know that you can mute other users on Nextdoor if you no longer wish to see their posts? When you mute someone, they won’t be notified that you’ve muted them. Our guide will show you how to mute someone in the Nextdoor application.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the Nextdoor app on iOS. Also note, if you mute someone from your own neighborhood, you can unmute them later on within the Nextdoor app. However, if you mute someone from a nearby neighborhood, you’ll only be able to unmute them by using the “Contact us” link on Nextdoor’s website.

Step 1: Tap the down arrow to the right of the post or comment made by the user you’d like to mute.

Step 2: Tap “Mute” or “Mute [name]” depending on whether you’re interacting with a post or a comment, respectively.

Step 3: Tap “Yes, mute” to mute the user.
