Next Issue Media to Debut in Early 2011, But Only for Android
“Hulu for Magazines” is coming in early 2011, but not for iPad users: Next Issue Media will initially debut only for devices running Google’s Android operating system, CEO Morgan Guenther told AllThingsD.
The joint venture between publishers Condé Nast, Hearst, Meredith, News Corp., and Time Inc. is “ready to support Apple, as well,” Guenther told AllThingsD, adding that he believes it will eventually happen, and “Android is a very important tablet platform, and a very important platform for smart phones.”
