– The Wall Street Journal has the deets on the new boss at Newsweek. Sidney Harman, 91, who made a boat-load of dough selling radio equipment over the past 50 years, retired from Harman International Industries three years ago (what a time to embark on a second career!). The late NPR newsman Daniel Schorr said Harman was “that rare phenomenon in American life – the titan of industry who is also a titan of humanity.”
