Newsweek Finance Figures: Still Ugly

When electronics mogul Sidney Harman struck a deal to buy Newsweek, he said, “I have no thought of investing a great deal of money so I can make a great deal of money.” At least he doesn’t have unrealistic expectations: A recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing by Newsweek parent The Washington Post Co. offers a few additional details on the magazine’s finances, and the situation is still pretty dire.
