Newport Beach Grinch Arrested For Stealing Christmas
Several folks in Newport Beach have had Christmas deliveries stolen right off their front porch over the last few days – and now police believe they have apprehended the thief. 42-year-old Melanie Kathleen Astin was spotted by police on Thursday following a delivery truck. Apparently she was tailing UPS and FedEx trucks, then swiping whatever packages were left on porches. Cops found delivered packages in Astin’s possession and made an arrest.
KTLA 5 has footage from security cameras belonging to a Newport Beach family of their front porch being robbed by a female Grinch, possibly Astin.
