New Yorker Names Emily Greenhouse Managing Editor

A homecoming.

The New Yorker has found someone to fill Silvia Killingsworth’s shoes. Emily Greenhouse, who most recently worked for Bloomberg Politics, is returning to succeed Killingsworth as managing editor.

Killingsworth was named editor of The Awl earlier this month.

Before her time at The New Yorker, Greenhouse worked for The New York Review of Books and Granta Magazine.

In a note to staffers, New Yorker editor David Remnick described Greenhouse as “wonderful.”
