The great blog investment and purchasing blitz of 2007-2008 is continuing. Fresh off Livejournal’s sale to SUP (a Russian corporation with close ties to the Kremlin), the New York Times Company has announced that they are investing in WordPress manufacturers Automattic.
The exact amount of money that the Times Co. has infused into Automattic is unknown as of press time, but according to the NYT, the Times Co.’s contribution was the smallest out of a group of four investors that gave them $29.5
