New York Newspapers Can't Retain Web Site Traffic

Webnewser has a story detailing the struggles that the recently online-only Seattle Post-Intelligencer is having to retain Web traffic, which fell 23 percent year-to-year. However, there’s an interesting story happening closer to home as well.

As Editor & Publisher reports, while The New York Times‘ site saw unique visitors rise seven percent from March 2008 to March 2009 (despite online advertising revenue dropping eight percent in Q1 of 2009), both the New York Post and Newsday lost audience.
