Mary.Bruce.Press.FinalABC News’ Washington bureau has named Mary Bruce as Congressional correspondent and Devin Dwyer as a contributing correspondent and coordinating producer, announced ABC News president James Goldston today.

Mary Bruce is something of a rarity in professional Washington: a D.C. native. She has been at ABC News since 2006, when she started there as a Washington desk assistant. Most recently, she served as a multi platform reporter and has covered the House Speaker race and the Iran nuclear talks in that role.

DwyerAs coordinating producer, Devin Dwyer will be responsible for the Pennsylvania Avenue team, whose coverage areas include the White House, Congress, and presidential politics, all areas Dwyer has previously covered during his time at ABC News. Dwyer had most recently been a digital correspondent for ABC News’ White House unit.

Goldston called the pair “outstanding reporters who have played a key role in making our Washington Bureau a hub of storytelling, newsgathering, and innovation,” in the announcement.
