New Program ‘KardBlock’ Is Like AdBlock For All Things Kardashian

This is one way to advertise your agency's services.

Remember Unbaby.Me, the app that allowed you to replace photos of friends’ babies in your newsfeed with things like bacon or race cars? If babies aren’t so much the bane of your internet existence, and you instead find yourself much more annoyed by the onslaught of Kardashian-related nonsense, now there’s KardBlock — an AdBlock-type program that allows you to finally stop “keeping up” with the Kardashians.

The program, which is currently in beta testing, was created by and James Shamsi, who believe that the internet will be a “better place” without the famed reality star family stealing the spotlight from other, more worthy pieces of “real news.”

Their website states:

We’re tired of logging on to any site and seeing stories of the Kardashian family overshadow REAL news. We don’t care about how Kanye & Kim didn’t care when Amy Schumer ‘fell over’. We don’t care about who the Kardashians are or aren’t sleeping with. We don’t care that Kim dyed her hair blonde. We don’t care about the Kardashians.

We do however care about raising awareness of transexuality, the one benefit of the Kardashians. We do care about raising attention and money for the thousands that died in Nepal. We do care about the tens of thousands being slaughtered by ISIS. We care that other people care more about, or know more about the Kardashians than these issues.

The app’s makers urge anyone who feels the way they do to take part in the beta testing and watch their internet feeds fill with anything and everything but Kim and Kanye’s faces.

In what can only be an amazing coincidence, the project doubles as an ad for the services of Chameleon, which promises to help you and your clients “go viral and optimize your social media.”

We wonder though…with an internet void of Kardashians, would we start to miss all the scoff-fueling headlines about Khloe’s weight or Kourtney’s kids?

(Pretty sure we’d be just fine.)
