Hiring in the social gaming industry was steady this week, with 11 companies reporting 23 recent hires. According to data from LinkedIn and other sources, Zynga and Social Point reported the most activity. Zynga also had the week’s most significant move, promoting FarmVille general manager Nathan Etter to the role of Vice President of Games. GSN Meredith Minogue, Advertising Sales Assistant -- A non-gaming hire for GSN. Minogue previously worked at RJW Collective as a social media intern. Kabam Dana Visan, European Community Manager -- Visan was a romanian community manager at PokerStrategy.com. Kontagent Erik Lewis, Data Scientist/Account Manager -- Lewis was previously a teaching assistant at UCLA. Plumbee Øyvind Sørøy, Senior Artist -- Sørøy was formerly a senior game artist at EA Playfish. Dumisani 'Dumi' Kopotsha, Senior UI/UX Artist (Mobile Team) -- Kopotsha comes to Plumbee from Vertu, Nokia's luxury brand. Social Point Hugo Hernández, Chief Analysis Officer -- Hernández was previously an assistant professor at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. Roger Vallès. Project Manager Backend -- Vallès comes from Psycle Interactive, where he was a project manager. Verónica Pérez, Flash Developer -- Pérez was a programmer at Fluendo Embedded S.L.
