New Hires in Mobile: GameLoft, Kontagent and EA PopCap

Hiring in the mobile apps sector was down in the week before Christmas, with 10 new hires and promotions spread out across seven companies. Based on information from LinkedIn and other sources, GameLoft and Kontagent showed the most activity, but it was Tapjoy that made the week’s highest profile move with the promotion of Linda Tong to chief product officer. Goncharova was formerly the head of web division/digital producer at Noviy Disk. GameLoft Danail Zotov, Game Producer- GameLoft makes the list with three hires. Zotov was previously a freelance artist and designer. Brian Ernst, Programmer - Ernst was formerly a programmer at 1st Playable Productions. Alex Wong, Games Programmer - Finally we have Wong, who moves from Phantom Compass where he interned as a game programmer. Kontagent Al Rey, Director of Sales & Business Development, Emerging Markets - Kontagent makes two high profile promotions this week. Rey moves into a director level position for the company. Alex Lee, Mobile Enterprise Sales & Business Development, North America - Lee also gets a high profile promotion. He has previous experience at MSDSonline as the director of international sales. Playtika Oran Almog, Graphic Designer - Playtika makes a rare appearance on our hiring roundup this week. Almog was a designer at DMNT before making the jump to Playtika. EA PopCap Paolo Maninetti, Game Programmer - EA PopCap brings on Maninetti from Milestone S.R.L, where he was also a game programmer. Tapjoy Linda Tong, Chief Product Officer - Finally Tapjoy makes our list with a fairly major promotion, moving up Linda Tong from her role as VP of products to chief product officer.
