New hires in mobile: EachScape, Gameloft and GREE

Hiring in the mobile apps sector was up this week, with 24 new hires spread across six companies. Based on information from LinkedIn and other sources, GREE reported the most activity, accounting for more than half of this week’s hires. The highest profile hire belonged to EachScape, which brought on Marci Weisler as its new COO. EachScape Marci Weisler, COO -- This week’s highest profile hire, Weisler was previously the digital business director for Time Out New York and a consultant for Gilt Groupe, Babble and Kellogg’s before joining the EachScape executive team. Gameloft Felix Adam, Technical Game Designer -- Five hires at Gameloft this week. Adam was previously a game programmer / level designer at DTI Software. Brad Macpherson, Technical Game Designer -- Macpherson comes from d9 Studios, where he was a lead level designer. Juan Richard Feliz, 2D Artist/ Banner Artist/ Packaging -- Feliz was formerly a concept artist/illustrator/animator at Microsoft’s 343 Industries. Brian Husa, Linux Systems Administrator -- Husa was an associate systems engineer at Pacific Software Publishing, Inc. Cosmin Patranescu, Social Media Specialist -- Patranescu was a marketing assistant at SC Pro Express Retail before joining Gameloft. GREE Russell Campbell, Lead Technical Artist -- A massive 15 hires to report from GREE this week. Campbell was previously was a lead technical artist at Namco Bandai Games America. Scott Ware, Senior Manager -- Ware was previously the director of engineering at One Kings Lane. Chad Perry, UI/UX Design -- Perry was formerly a mobile games contractor at GREE. Giorgio Tino, Software Engineer -- Next up is Tino, who was previously a software engineer and tools programmer at Nihilistic Software. Kristin Watanabe, Player Experience Specialist -- Watanabe was a private english teacher at Silicon Valley English Communication School before joining the GREE team. Lillian Rodriguez, IT Service Delivery Manager -- Rodriguez was previously an IT manager at iControl. Meng Her, Senior Animator -- Her was previously a lead animator at 6waves Lolapps. Peiwen Yao is Product Manager -- Yao was a project manager & product manager at Tencent America before joining GREE. Scott Lin, Business Intelligence Data Analyst -- Lin was previously an associate producer at Ubisoft. Vincent Toscano, Technical Art Director -- Toscano was the former head of computer graphics production at Netsuke Entertainment. Brett Burns, Jr. Graphic Designer -- Burns comes from Coakley Heagerty, where he worked as a graphic designer. Johnny Chen, Product Manager -- Chen makes the jump from Facebook, where he worked as product specialist. Tanisha Gupta, Marketing Coordinator, Platform -- Gupta was previously a marketing coordinator at Cook!SF. Linda Chung, Jr. Artist at GREE International -- Chung jumps from the Thinkwell Group, Inc, where she worked as a Photoshop artist. Egor Borodavko, White box QA Engineer -- Borodavko was formerly a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at EFI. InMobi Nikhil Mulley, Senior Grid Engineer -- Mulley was previously a senior systems engineer at D. E. Shaw & Co. Kontagent Sean Po, Software Developer Intern -- A promotion this week at Kontagent. Po was previously a back-end engineer co-op at the company. Millennial Media Kasey Levering, Account Manager Intern -- A Virginia Tech graduate, Levering was previously a creative services intern at 8 Boxwood Lane, LLC.
