Netflix' Last Hardware Frontier Has a Somewhat Mobile Angle: TV Remote Controls
Netflix’ streaming video service is everywhere. It first caught my attention when the Netflix for iPad app emerged as one of the early must have apps last spring. Since then, it became available for the iPhone and my HTC HD7 Windows Phone shipped with the Netflix app pre-installed. The Roku boxes and latest Apple TV both feature Netflix streaming as do many large screen TVs and Blu-ray players.
So, what’s the last frontier for Netflix to install itself on? According to Mashable, it looks like something that I’m going to call mobile: TV remote controls.
