NBC: Oops, we did it again
It’s almost as if NBC has a Red State death wish. First, it enrages the American Family Association with “Book of Daniel.” (Read Brian Lowry‘s excellent column in Variety about why “Daniel’s” cancellation had nothing to do with evangelical outrage, tho.)
Now, the God Squad is howling with rage anew: Britney Spears‘ guest star turn on “Will and Grace.”
According to Reuters, it because of a press release the network is now repudiating as faulty:
“According to NBC’s initial synopsis of the episode, Jack’s fictional TV network, Out TV, is taken over by a Christian broadcaster, leading Spears’ character to do a cooking segment on his show called ‘Cruci-fixin’s.'”
