NBC News Digital Fills Out Team

Six hires, four promotions.

Perusing a list of NBC News Digital hires that dates back in some cases to around Election Day, we were tickled by the fact that two closely aligned individuals come from different ABC’s. Cover editor Brian Walsh crossed over from ABC News Digital, while fellow New York-based cover editor Matt Grimson was previously with the other ABC. The one Down Under that stands for Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

Another New York hire, Kalhan Rosenblatt, was previously with the Daily Mail. She will help oversee NBC News cover on Saturday evenings as well as assist in the management of MSNBC’s cover and social media outreach.

There are as well two internal additions in New York to the digital video team. Alana Miller moves over from MSNBC, while Nirma Hasty was previously an intern. Hooray!

In London, NBC News Digital has snagged Telegraph assistant editor Chloe Hubbard for a digital editor position and, from ITV This Morning, Fiona Day. Day will serve as social media editor.

Finally, a pair of New York team members and another in Washington have been promoted: Sam Petulla has transitioned from the product team to the editorial side; Anna Brand is now special assignments and planning editor; and Alex Jaffe in D.C. will cover “news of the day,” politics and the Trump administration. Congrats to all.
