Nat'l Geo Crew Injured in Afghanistan
National Geographic Channel announced that crew members embedded with a Green Beret unit in Afghanistan were injured on Saturday, October 28 when a vehicle in their convoy struck a landmine. EP Steven Hoggard, a cameraman and a soundman were filming the convoy when a vehicle in front of them hit a landmine. They were on assignment for Inside the Green Berets.
According to reports, both Hoggard and the cameraman suffered non-life threatening injuries, and both are expected to recover.
