National Literacy Trust Launches The ComiX Factor

The UK based non-for-profit National Literacy Trust has recently announced a new program designed to get school children interested in books.

The ComiX Factor is a contest where kids are asked to create a new sidekick for Dorko, a character created by The Etherington Brothers. The kids are encouraged to invent details about the sidekick, write out a description, and draw the character. They can also enter the contest by finishing a comic strip that The Etherington Brothers provided.
