National Journal Names Editor in Chief, Managing Editor
Stephen Smith rejoins the magazine and Ben Pershing gets a promotion.
Atlantic Media has named Stephen Smith and Ben Pershing editor in chief and managing editor, respectively, of National Journal.
Smith was previously editor of NJ from 1996 to 1998. He was most recently editor of The Washington Examiner.
Pershing joined NJ in 2014 as Washington editor. He previously worked for The Washington Post as a staff writer.
