National Archives and Records Administration Debuts Online Public Access

Online access to millions of digitized government records is actually available somewhere besides WikiLeaks, and legally: The National Archives and Records Administration launched its Online Public Access prototype Monday, containing some 10.9 million electronic records from the Archival Research Catalog, Archival Databases, and Electronic Records Archives, ReadWriteWeb reported.

The digital files are easy to find and read, according to ReadWriteWeb, which added that the ability to zoom into images and to pan through the archives’ holdings will be added during 2011.
