Infotainment Purveyor MyLocalBuzzTV Expands Producer Ranks

What the heck is MyLocalBuzzTV, you ask? It’s a burgeoning, Culver City based broadcaster of small business promo videos, which are packaged as newsmagazine content and beamed out to the web and social media via geographically themed channels for West Hollywood, Silver Lake, and more.

Things must be going pretty well for the nascent company, because they have just announced the hire of Ron Cassel as senior producer. Cassel was previously with Sky Radio, a two-decades old company that provides in-flight entertainment programming to most of the major airlines. Per the press release:

“MyLocalBuzzTV is uniquely positioned for success and I am very excited to be a part of a company which in many ways represents an extension of the type of programming that I have been working on over the last few years,” stated Cassel.

MyLocalBuzzTV content is well produced and features congenial female hosts. It should also benefit from the impressive entrepreneurial track record of company founder Justin Beckett. Between 2000 and 2008, three companies he launched – Fluid Music, SkillJam Technologies, and Music Gaming Inc. – were respectively IPO-ed, sold to Liberty Media, and purchased by Intermix-Myspace.
