Facebook Apps Making Sweet Music Through Open Graph

Several Facebook applications have taken advantage of open graph technology to really connect with users. The social network highlighted a few musical apps that have utilized open graph for success, including Songza, 8tracks, and BandPage.

Several Facebook applications have taken advantage of open graph technology to really connect with users. The social network highlighted a few musical apps that have utilized open graph for success, including Songza, 8tracks, and BandPage.

Facebook notes that since launching open graph last September, 62.6 million songs have been played 22 billion times — roughly 210,000 years worth of music.

Here are some of the apps that have done well with open graph:

  • 8tracks: The social Internet radio app lets people choose playlists based on mood, genre, or artist.
