MTV's Jersey Shore Tops the Weekly Prime Time List

Well, Jersey Shore, now in its fourth season, has certainly hit its stride. The MTV reality program that made household names out of “The Situation” and “Snooki,” was number one for the week.

The show set in Italy this season, had an estimated 848,000 New York viewers with a 4.2 rating, according to the Nielsen Company.

The Yankees rocketed to number two on WWOR, despite an August 9th loss to the Los Angeles Angels (607,000/3.0).

The New York Giants return to the gridiron on WNBC/Channel 4, albeit only preseason, was enough for a sixth-place tie (541,000/2.7).
